FiF Veterans:  If you have flown FiF before, you can probably proceed to the general instructions and download table below.

FiF First Timers:  If this is your first time playing FiF, and you want to learn how to install the patches quickly and correctly with the least amount of frustration, click here.  It is easy, if you follow the directions.  It is frustrating and perhaps impossible if you don't do it correctly.

Before you can install the patches, you first need a separate, clean and unmodified working copy of Red Baron 3D with required upgrades available in the Red Baron First Aid Kit.  Difficulties typically begin to arise when pilots don't begin with a clean, new and unmodified install of the game.  You will also need a free program called Winzip to 'unzip' the files into the appropriate folders.

First Time Install Instructions

The operable words here are separate, clean and unmodified.  Once you have a basic, clean and unmodified install of RB3D upgraded with no other patches or modifications except the required 1078 patch and the XP fix (if needed) you are ready to proceed below.  If you are not familiar with making multiple installs of Red Baron, click here.
